Another disabled artist here to add on, I think the comments (the ai bros make)are stupid, and infantilizing. Art is a way me and so many other disabled folk took control of our bodies/mind. It’s a way to express myself and interact with the world when I can’t do it the ways everyone else does. If you’re going to talk the physical aspect of disability, I’d like to point out most OT’s will have your do art. For many it’s actually physical therapy. I started doing Kandi weaving as a way to move my hands again after an injury. I have a neighbor who does the same because of a stroke. My OT is ecstatic that I draw and sculpt because it preserved so much of my mobility. If you can move your eyes, talk, or have sensory input in your limbs, you can make some kind of art.
I find it so infuriating how able bodied folks are putting words in our mouths.
