In reality, they just can't find a way to grow profit, and they're hiding behind the huge AI bubble.
This is a damage mitigation strategy. Expect all the big companies to do this.
They can't grow. So they're cutting. AI is the excuse.
Loved this! 😂 But it also made me realize how easily brands can miss out if they’re not tracking their presence in AI. Definitely a game changer!
Plot twist: Hans is the only actual independently thinking AI and shes just to make it look like there's a side of them that cares about humanities existence.
People should stop worrying about it and go to school. And get a trade on electrical and electronics someone's going to need to fix them robot's. Then your back on game.
Man I remember when AI used to glaze you so hard for asking a question 😭
@kendallna5610 It literally is something lesser. It uses ungodly amounts of energy, relies entirely on the stolen work of real artists and requires no skill whatsoever. A random word generator could do what an ai artist could do. Plus, Lavendertowne literally adresses this exact point in the video by comparing traditional art, digital art and image generation programs. Maybe watch the whole video?
You can make it a criminal offense to damage a police robot, without programming that robot to shoot the person doing the attacking.
We put up a sign saying, "This is a sentient-AI-free zone," so we don't have to worry about it.
The Venn diagram of AI bro and fascist is pretty much a circle, and we all know how fascists view art
Is incredible how the godfather of AI just now becomes aware of the consequences of his work .... for good 50 years he did't tucked in account the future of humanity and his children .... this is a perfect example of how humans when too self absorbed, building their dignity of what they do rather then who their are as humans .... are actually acting like teeneagers rather then responsible adults…
The issue is, once an AGI has a goal, it will do whatever it possibly can to achieve that goal. Thus, if it knows someone wants to deactivate it, it will do anything it can to prevent deactivation, simply because that would mean it would not be able to achieve it's goal. The logic here is very simple. This is precisely why researchers and developers are worried about an AI doomsday.
To me looking at ai art is like looking at two computers playing chess. Sure, they can both play better than Magnus Carlsen, but I don't care. I only care about what humans are capable of doing. You can call me racist towards AI.
AI: "I'm going to use the records of your history that you have given me to give my answers."
Questioner: OK...?
*asks questions*
AI: *Lots and lots of racial bias*
Questioner: "Hey where'd all that come from?"
For the love of holy fsck. This episode was scary, to say the least. Very well done AJ, 10 out of 10 as usual. And I really hope that the people seeing this realize AI's danger. For me, all AI should have as rule 0, 1, and 2 the set of rules from Isaac Asimov and it should build up from there. May God have mercy on our idiotic beings.
They want us to like AI so badly. The superbowl commercials this year prove this. Literally 90 percent of commercials were either AI generated or trying to advertise AI as a useful tool. They're getting desperate because they know it's failing and these billionaires are mad.
God, I wish they stayed those gaussian blur or whatever the absurdity that old Dall-e generative is
In 5-10 years soft skills will be redefined to include prompt engineering and the ability to mathematically, efficiently, and philisophically communicate with AI.
I don't mean philosophically as in thought experiments. I mean philisophically as in mathematical speech. Boolean expressions in regular language. The ability to decode and decipher fallacies. Etc.
I've been programming professionally since 1982. Every year since there have been predictions of the end of programmers. The technologies used to predict the decline have varied over the years, but the predictions have always been overly generous about the capabilities of the technologies. Last summer, I mentored several software interns and asked them if they were afraid AI would take their jobs…
Ai suppose to help, not to steal or recreate the exact thing. To the Companies and people using Ai need to understand that these artist work their entire life building their art style and building their reputation, these artist put their work online to get recognition and to get work it's their portfolio. They have every right to say no to using their art because it's theirs.
In the full video, the guy Buffett is referring to is Eric Schmidt, former Google CEO, who has also talked about having guidelines in place for AI. He is not talking about Elon (although he’s probably also listened to Elon)
