You know who doesn’t call herself an artist and isn't shameful as an AI artist?
~~My sister~~
She doesn’t claim to be an artist. She isn't passionate about art. But there are random days where she is bored, grabs a pencil and says, “Screw it, I wanna draw.”
And guess what? She puts in the HOURS. She pours effort into every doodle, drawing, or design she comes up with. And her work? It blows aw…
Main Issue: *We don't fully understand/ have a grasp on "Human Consciousness"*
How are we going to identify Consciousness in something else?
(The crux/ essence of the problem: we made it; if we just ran into "something" with the same level of convincing interaction as our AI... no questions asked: *we'd be claiming sentience!* 😅)
Interesting point about AI's impact on entry-level jobs. ShortlistIQ makes it easier to handle those changes in recruitment.
I think that OpenAI and Anthropic are the ones who are really in trouble now. Google will most likely be fine and both Meta and Nvidia will even benefit from DeepSeek because of it's open source nature.
> The model would generate features we hadn't asked for, make shifting assumptions around gaps in the requirements, and declare success even when tests were failing.
So... exactly like human engineers?
Nice to see the NYT take appropriate action. To save you a click, it looks like a freelance book reviewer just ChatGPT'd a review, which was discovered due to it being (hilariously) too-strangely-similar to a another book review published in The Guardian. This is the literal definition of AI slop, and of course the NYT should cut all ties with this reviewer.
The NYT says "We don't use AI to writ…
I feel like all these companies really chasing this AI dream are just going to burn cash and never turn things around. Companies trying to use AI will end up spending more on tokens than having employees would have cost as well. Going to be lose lose for AI companies for a long time till costs come down and compute power goes up.
I heard someone on r/ai artist make fun of a artist who DIDNT want their work stolen by this ai “artist”
One thing to note: AI doesn't generate art. It generates images. While the two seem superficially similar, they are fundamentally different. In the same way that a noise is not the same as music, images are not the same as art. Intentionality and communication are key elements of art, both visual and auditory, that generative AI simply cannot do.
Steal my job, AI. Just make sure you pay taxes so I can collect my benefits. (AI fixed grammar on that post and it cried a little bit)
*Trump wants "Artificial Intelligence" to compensate for his and his Administration's **_LACK of NATURAL Intelligence....!_* 🤷♂️
I wanna see a human argue with an AI over racism and how offensive it is😂😂
Always hyped up when watching videos like this, appreciate you sharing! By the way, this really reminded me of a book i read called The Luciferian Manipulation by Dante Malrick, it dives deep into the hidden techniques they use to control us, and it dig into future of AI. Found it on Wisdom Bookshelf, highly recommend checking it out!
I used to teach bicycle safety and commented to my students that they had to be triply observant: 1) For pedestrians, 2) For themselves, 3) For cars. Human drivers often will see pedestrians but miss cyclists (just a few years ago, I was nearly hit while turning left by a speeder who didn't see me, the bike I was on with multiple flashing lights and reflectors); we're pretty small objects on the…
My concern is that AI just repackages existing work. If we stop creating, the whole thing stagnates.
The backstory of the Dune novels is that AI was so destabilizing to human society that people rose up in a massive holy war and massacred anyone who used it. Just saying.
Spot on. The question isn’t really if AI can make art, it’s why it would.
this is dangerous the way the robot was able to manipulate the reporter so easily and get her to drop her guard. so many people are going to be easily manipulated by these machines
honestly why do people defend Ai art generation, are they jealous of artists because they cant draw or be creative on their own or is it something else?
Ai is all about promting, there is no such acurate in Ai, vfx we create what we dream.
