As a teacher you easily know who is distracted and who is not and teachers do try their best to encourage the distracted students but we don't need AI or headbands to detect that. Every child is an indivıdual and they have their own pace. This is pathetic, poor kids are monitored this way.

This makes me want to cry, honestly. I have always loved creative fields and how many artists and writers affect our world with their works. I've wanted to polish my skills in writing and drawing, but in this day and age it's more of an uphill battle than ever. We went from being exploited by corporations to being tossed aside for a heartless copy-cat "artificial intelligence". I feel so sorry fo…

At 2:20 he said that when ATM machines came out bank tellers though they would lose their jobs. He says but that didn't happen and they just got to do "more interesting jobs". That's a flat out lie. My uncle has worked in banking his entire life and told me several years ago that banks only employee about 25% of what they did when he started in the early 1980's. When you walk into your local bank…

Amazon losing money and suing when they did the exact same thing with their "automated" supermarkets is priceless.

I have some minor sympathy for the lawyer claiming he thought chat gpt was a search engine, given all the hubub and publicity about google and microsoft introducing so-called "ai search engines" a while ago. But the fact that he simply did not check *any* of the information provided is aboslutely mind boggling. He didn't even understand what the citations meant! It seems likely to me that he's be…

If you ask ChatGPT if an Arkansas governor has ever been elected as president, it will say no. If you then immediately follow that up by asking it "Where is Bill Clinton from?" It will include the statement that Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas before being elected president.

If AI takes most of the jobs, it will lead to all out socialism. There will be a push to increase tax on the AI company revenue to provide for basic income to everyone.

The US GND is mostly a democratic socialist spending wish list, with some environmental policy thrown on for spice/camouflage. I 100% agree - a carbon tax would be the most efficient method. I don't want the gov dictating HOW to go green - that will stifle innovation. Just penalize the polluters, ramping it up until they have no choice but to go green.

I live in Memphis, TN. My family and I grew up in the area XAI is located. D. Rep. Justin Pearson has been trying to fight this battle to save our drinking water and protect clean air. Elon is operating without permits as to reason why I believe he pushed hard for deregulations. Smh. Thanks for speaking up on this subject. Lord, I promise it seems like Justin is the only one really trying to bri…

A lot of the pro AI "art" crowd say crap like "we're Democratizing art" which doesn't make any sense, art is a skill not a political system. They'll also claim to be "getting back at low effort artists" like the people who put moldy cheese or stapled together cardboard boxes into art museums, but those aren't the artists they're stealing from.

Already happening. My friend just got replaced by an AI. She was fired yesterday. Not only her, but they did a massive layoff in her company.

Mark my words, as a society, we will regret crap like this. Jobs will vanish, fatal accidents will happen, and our country will be left vulnerable to attacks that target automated systems.

I've gone over this very topic several times in the last few years and have come to the same conclusion each time. The only ethical way of handling accidents with self-driving cars is for each of them to prioritize the lives of people *outside* of the car. That means they will always choose to put passengers in danger before putting outsiders in danger. This way, it's the passenger's conscious de…

I think two types of people are gonna rise out of this AI thing: 1. People who openly admit they use AI and even embrace it, creating a small community for themselves. 2. Pro level liars and gaslighters.

In the past, people said that photography was the soul-less version of taking photos. They also said writing a story was the soul-less version of spoken stories. The reason they didn't have an argument was because there is skill and effort aiming a camera, getting the lighting right, and making sure everything is in focus. There is skill in phrasing your word just right so that many can understa…

The model that these people are working towards has humanity doing labour, because we're cheap to make and very adaptable; the fun stuff done by AI; and them making all the money. The worst part is that they treat this as some sort of inevitability, when they themselves created the technology to achieve this end.
