Tell me you are not an artist and don't know shit about art without telling me you are not an artist and don't know shit about art:
On a more serious note, wow, this is a mess. First of all, analog art isn't dead, it still exists and is very much real and people are paid for it. Hell, real life paintings are generally worth much more than digital art. Sure, it has to dhare the market and thus earns less money, but they co-exist perfectly fine, analog art isn't dead.
Second of all, digital art isn't "closer to ai art than traditional art", this statement proves to me you have NEVER tried drawing on a graphic tablet EVER. All the perks of digital art above traditional is quality of life.
You do realise that you can switch brushes in real life, too, right? Digital brushes aren't hacks only digital artists can use, traditional artists also have different brushes that create different textures depending on what they need. Digital artists have the quality of life perk of being able to switch brushes with a click, can use layers for convenience, etc.
Traditional artists also have tools, they can use stamps to "copy & paste" things.
Digital art is just more expensive at once because graphic tablets, digital pens, art programs, etc. can be extremely expensive, while traditional artists have to invest smaller sums of money into their hobby over time, as they need to constantly supply paints, brushes, etc.
The only "AI tool" digital art widely uses is probably the stabiliser (Not AI, but whatever) which smoothens out lines automatically. It's not even a perk, it's just helping with a disadvantage digital art has: You need to have a much calmer hand to draw on a smooth screen with a digital pen than when you draw on paper with a pen. If you are a tiny bit shaky you will not see it on traditional art because of friction most of the time. On a screen on the other hand every single tiny shake will be noticable because it's a much smoother surface. The stabiliser tool just helps with negating it.
In conclusion: Traditional art and digital art aren't enemies, they co-exist, they are both the same, just done with different mediums and most importantly: AI "artists" aren't artists. They are exploiting digital artists by stealing their work with no permission. Digital art never did anything like that to traditional art.
I'm not completely against ai art, I think it can be a tool for artists and a neat thing to exist for people that for example want some quick reference for their dnd character or something. But it needs regulations because it's literally copying artists. I'm very glad that AI art can't be copyrighted (One big reason AI won't replace digital art like you hope it will lol), but I'd personally do a little more like create some kind of crediting system, force watermarks on AI and make it more punishable to sell generated art as actual art, etc., but I leave it to professionals to know what is possible and what plainly isn't.
