The problem is that this is happening without any citizens' real consent here in the US. Citizens will continue to have no say in the US while Trump and his people are in charge without massive pushback. He is threatening states who want any regulations on AI and demanding there won't be any for at least the next 10 years! It's absurd that something this consequential doesn’t have guardrails and sensible regulations. We think people are confused about what's real and truthful now. Just wait until AI gets better and better. Every video, etc, that is AI generated needs to be labeled as such. The future of all of this needs to be democratically discussed for everyone to hear and not just decided by the tech bros and people they have paid off. What is the real vision for people who will lose their jobs because of AI, automation, etc? Where are all of these resources coming from? Are we willing to let go of our precious resources for this, etc? It may already be too late because not enough citizens are raising these extremely important questions, and AI and Data Centers are advancing rapidly.
