Question is: do they need to be? From what I can see the technology can automate a lot of human labor based on what is essentially pattern recognition. It even exceeds human performance when it comes to the more repetitive tasks, like diagnostic medicine. So there is a business case. Never mind the marketing. When we can increase the availability of services that are currently limited due to the bottleneck that is human intelligence and education, I don't care what we call that as long as we do it.
