@LifeisGreat-h3h I think when they say "soul" they're referring to the, how to say it, the visible commitment and ambition that the artist shows in their work. If people used ai to generate "art" and post it online just shows that the person who "made" it didn't care enough to actually commit to an actual art piece (even if it's mediocre at best) and thus, didn't put their "soul" into it.
But this is just my (badly worded) take on the topic of the "soul" argument so I could be a little off on the true definition.
