I use sunglasses all the time, and don't have those issues. It just depends on the sunglasses. As for blinding sun, I'm not sure how they do it, but somehow the car rarely has problems with direct sunlight, even so bright I have trouble seeing through wearing sunglasses. Lidar has it's own problems, as Waymo has proven. Where it shines is at night, in the rain. It does not seem to have any issues with all the reflections, and so on. It's nice to see him give it an honest try, rather than pre-judging. I've been using the system for years, and gone on many inter-city road-trips (USA), and it's a real game-changer (with regards to fatigue). It's one of those things that's better experienced personally, though. I will note that the AU version is a little crippled compared to the US version, and I'm sure that's because Tesla are taking it carefully to start.
