That is a legitimately good point.
For myself, I think we need some additional regulations after this, and to increase union power. First, we continue to give no copyright protections to AI generated content, so corporations have lowered interest in AI generated content. Second, vote and protest so we get more pro-union laws, both in the USA, but also in the EU, in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and India, to allow artists to unionized and refuse to work with AI generated content if they wish to. Third, we talk about regulations on foundational models, and regulations on models trained real life photos and recordings of real life things. Not to hurt companies as the main thing, but to stop the risk of disinformation as the main thing. Fourth, we continue mocking AI generated content, and start treating it like autotune, giving it no respect.
