@magentapotatoes7891 Oh, I don't use AI references all the time. Most of the time, I know what I want to draw. But if I do need a reference, AI helps. And Pinterest is becoming more AI anyways. I know of artist reference databases... AI just hits different. I've been an artist for 30 years. Did the whole art school bit after high school, and made it my career in the fine art profession. Trust me, I know how "to art", I... _"understand"_ how things work in that regard, and I've already developed my style and skills, and have been able to make my living off of it for quite some time. But at the same time, AI fascinates me. Perhaps it's just a phase, because I just got into it and like playing with the shiny new toy. By the way. AI to this date has never spat out exactly what I am thinking. I already know what I want to draw. I just want to make sure the lighting, scale, perspective, and position is right. I don't need AI for ideas and AI isn't perfect. I may find it useful for like... a corner section for what it may get right in the moment, but the rest is slop. Most of my drawings/paintings are surreal, but in that surreal-ness, I'd like an insight of how it would look in certain lighting. I can do realism, but I prefer surrealism. I can still get real live props and models if need be, but AI, I find is easier to work with for certain projects or things. And again, I never ever get an exact reference. I know some artists hate AI with a burning passion, but I just don't.
