They aren't self aware it's illusion they just look like that because of sense to touch technology is integrated with basic ai like Google assistant which is giving you a illusion that she can think her all answer look like some medicore internet copy paste answers if you observe keenly similar to how chatgpt work if he can speak.
You need ultron level ai to actually achieve world conquest and I don't think they can do that because they simply lack the technology built one like that.
