Exactly. For stuff that AI is actually good for, which is obvious but time-consuming tasks, you don't even need an LLM that can "write" code on its own. At this point it's almost a scam that wastes more time and sanity than it saves. Those time-consuming tasks that I mentioned aren't even a big enough chunk of the total work, and doing them yourself allows you to rest mentally from more difficult tasks.
The way programmers use AI nowadays - let it do the thinking - is going to hurt them in the long run as they will become worse at their job.
