Right?! This is a compression/recall tech, not a thinking machine. If no one prompts Claude, it is about as thoughtful as a rock. If no one prompts you, you can't stop thinking, even in your sleep, neither can your dog. Yes, it can still pose a threat, doesn't need to be intelligent for that. Putting it in charge of any high-risk process is insane. But sick of the BS around whether these glorified text/image compression algorithms are conscious or aware...that's just fear mongering for the sake of fundraising.
