@laurentiuvladutmanea don't pretend ubi magically solves all the problems. Ubi just makes everyone poorer since the robot manufacturing isn't state owned. The state therefore has to get money from somewhere and will just print more money. We are already witnessing this with our current welfare programs causing the Treasury to print new money on an unprecedented scale. I'm glad you at least care, but don't pretend it's as simple as just hitting a button and forgetting about these people. You haven't solved the bigger problem of what are these people supposed to do with their lives now? People need to have purpose in their life's, if they can't find work, have no real future prospects, then they turn to drugs and debauchery, crime, and violence.just to entertain themselves. AI is a lot worse than what even this video suggests and to be frank, we have had 70 years to figure out how to solve or work on this problem and genuine solutions have never really been proposed. And to me, art should never be about the money. Do you genuinely want to defend the corporate art we see these days. There is good reason it is considered bland soulless and spoiled on arrival. That is for me why artists must find balance. I'm not insane, I get you must make money somewhere. But to me personally, I much more respect hobby artists who do art for fun over artists that sell out. I was raised by an artists who attended and graduated from PRATT and while I wasn't talented there I was pushed to do another art (classical music), so this influenced my opinions on art greatly. Art is up to interpretation and my view isn't the only view. But for me, art is a window to the mind and soul, and art done for fun is the clearest window unobstructed by greed and corruption of the modern corporate world. This is why some of the most famous artists in the modern world were relatively unknown in their times, because they didn't have the outside influence to corrupt their creativity and freedom.
