@chaleirafuracao2000 Honestly, I only have guesses. My entire division at a medical statistics company was laid off in favor of another branch working on AI methods. Since I'd laid enough aside for a while, I'm trying my hand at indie game dev. Which means I've got almost no insight on the current job market.
I feel like the veneer on AI will come off eventually, but that right now it's just going to be tough. Were I in your shoes, I'd be trying to learn and then show methods for fixing vibe coding and AI data munging.
Also, your resume has to pass 3 checks now before an interview is possible: 1. AI looking for keywords, 2. HR person looking for keywords, 3. Actual engineer. Make sure your resume is at least decent for all 3 passes.
Experiment with using AI for your benefit: copy and paste a job's reqs into a prompt and ask it to make a cover letter. Make sure you fix it afterward; AI can be weird.
