My friend's 6-year old is obsessed with deep sea fish, and he spent a few minutes scribbling a picture of them for me. The kid's art is riddled with flaws, but he doesn't care, and through that it just screams personality.
AI can produce an outrageously more elaborate image. AI work will be visually 'good', but it doesn't know what personality is. As fast as AI image generation is, filtering out mind-bending issues, and mimicking anything close to personality, will at least take a few minutes longer than the kid's scribble.
I'm not going to keep the kid's scribble for all that long. It's not that special, and he doesn't even value it much. And yet there's still more to look at and figure out than any AI image can accomplish.
