@justgbnm4674 Sorry--that is total BS. I am a full time photographer (whose livelihood is threatened by AI crap) I started as a painter decades ago, I had my paintings hanging in prestigious galleries at the time. I gave up art for a long time and came back to it through photography. Photography is way more than just clicking the shutter. I spend days, weeks, sometimes years thinking about and planning my shoots, being out in the field dealing with the whim of nature, capturing natural moments that only last brief seconds in time and preserving them for eternity. I capture both what I see and what I feel emotionally from a scene that presents itself--but it is a real experience, that either I, the camera, or both witness it and take it in, and then craft the experience so that others can share in it. It is not better than painting or worse than painting--it is different! My mindset and goals are very different when I photograph something vs when I paint something. But it is *my* vision of a real event, one that I actually experienced. AI is nothing like that, it is just pixels manipulated by a computer, mindless and emotionless. To compare AI to what I do is insulting and ignorant. You can certainly have your personal opinion on what you value as art--but don't proclaim it as truth.
