@tspmofrr Not everyone wanting art wants to be an artist. Some just collect it, which is easy by having a machine generate it for your, its convenient. Want to commission an actual artist usually costs alot, takes time, and is most likely in an already long queue of other people wanting the same thing.
Secondly, "stealing people's work" as if people aren't doing this all the time already, companies do it all the time, artists do it all the time, but they hide it behind the word "inspiration" when they got the idea from someone else.
But when a machine does it, its extra bad, because its based on data and programming.
While the AI collects data into its algorithm, you can't prove where it got it from. Billions of images online from all kinds of sources, not just artists. Besides, in the future, that idea might become obsolete as AI advances in a very rapid rate.
