This is a fair point and I want to agree but we should remember that AI is an extension of humans. We created AI so in some sense it is connected to humanity and humans. Does that mean that it can express art like a human? Maybe not. But it should be able to express art in a human-like way, or in a way that at least should be able to resonate with humans.
I think people tend to make a strong distinction between human and machine but we should keep in mind that the machines are essentially an extension of us. If humans grow nails, nails can be said to be human or at least part of the human. If humans grow machines and AI, those machines can be said to be human or at least part of the human?
