Also when I compare AI slop to early cave drawings, I’m drawing a comparison between two emerging technologies, they’re very compatible. I’m saying the person who invents a technology isn’t this one who masters it. True mastery takes generations upon generations to achieve.
Going back to film, there’s a reason film was invented in 1850s but movies weren’t a thing until 1910s. No one had figured out it could be used to portray continuity, or narrative. Then we figured we would use queue cards with text for dialogue, use lighting to set tone etc. That all took about 70 years before we got the first true masterpiece - (the very racist) Birth of a Nation in 1920. And cinematic techniques only improved from then on
