@meropticon_1651I’m not an Ai person lol, I think it’s a cool party trick (in the context of art), but just like how Charlie Chaplin turned 2 forks and potatoes into a dance routine, people can turn an algorithm into art.
I said Kubrick specifically because on a Kubrick set it was his way or no way. Every single detail was exactly as he intended as an artist
I’m sure that he could have used his those same skills to produce an entirely generative AI film on par with any he made with human crews. The only difference would be he would be prompting a computer rather than prompting a film crew. Same vision, same genius, different canvas.
But yea, so far you’re right, we’ve just seen shitty, uncreative, soulless prompts that produce equally shitty, uncreative, soulless and sloppy content. But that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be that way. One day someone will blow your mind with it.
TLDR:: It’s not the tool that makes shit, it’s the person using the tool who makes shit. The tool is just a tool.
