Only thing stopping this nightmare is we don't have enough power to keep AI running, we'd need a massive effort to fast track power plants, wind farms, coal plants, oil, dams etc. Which is why when they turn this AGI nightmare thing on, whenever that may be, the powergrid will be soft locked. The amount of energy needed to power AGI, is expected to reach terra-watts annually. The entire world consumed 30k terra-watts in 2023. So either expect your electricity bill to be higher or a curfew with minimal electricity usage at home will be the norm as AGI gets turned on at night. These are my insane predictions, AGI may not even turn on.
