yes while it is true that LLMs are highly unlikely to be AGI and we’ve hit a dead end there, and that doesn’t mean superintelligence is impossible-it does mean that people have to explore and study other possibilities, and get the money required to fund those possibilities, and hope those other possibilities also don’t hit a wall
that takes time-especially with the huge bubble LLMs are in, it’s looking very likely we hit an economic recession soon, which isn’t exactly the ideal conditions to be searching for ways to make superintelligent AI
