Raw LLM Responses

AI doesn't understand anything. It doesn't know how to answer a question. It doesn't know what the truth is. It's just a clever pattern matching algorithm. The hype is ridiculous. Even the "we don't know how it works" thing is stupid hype presented like some evidence of sentience or mysticism. That's just as ignorant as people who don't fully understand the universe filling in that gap with "god". Maybe AI _is_ god?! Lol. Why not, I suppose. AI has been found to be able to do _some niche_ tasks amazingly, but even then it still needs close scrutiny, eg. it can be trained to check thousands of blood tests in seconds and has been found to highlight a lot of anomalies that a human would take days to do. But it also gets some wrong where a human wouldn't, so we still need humans checking what it does _BUT_ it does prove to help immensely _in that instance_ so we use it. Unfortunately people trying to sell AI have convinced the world it can do all sorts of things that it really cannot. It is a fascinating gimmick in almost all incarnations, but people are treating like it's an amazing breakthrough. Why? Because it can be used as an excuse to save money (fire people). It can be used to be lazy (doing homework and summarising emails). It can be used as a companion for the lonely (and we are already seeing people with mild mental issues being triggered into psychoses by their AI 'friends'). It is beginning to be 'found out' thankfully. People are beginning to realise it simply kind of 'averages' everything it is trained upon and regurgitates something that sort of matches, whether right, wrong or nonsense. Not only that, it will invent things because it's trained to respond, not give what a human would consider 'an answer'. I'll be glad when the bubble bursts.
