If I had to guess, laziness. While we usually think of the stereotypical “AI artist” as an untalented hack, I can see how an actual artist might resort to AI art to cut corners, then rationalizing that it’s okay *because* they’re a legit artist, and they’re just using it as a tool to make things faster.
