This analogy has been debunked a million times. It's the surest way to indicate you don't know anything about AI. The shift from typewriters to computers was in our control. AI has no corollary in human history. It's already iterating beyond its inventors' control. Which is why they...the people who actually invented it (and hundreds of them signed a public letter stating they wish they hadn't.)..have called it a potential *species ender.* Think about that phrase. Military and climate crisis experiments that have used AI to generate solutions raised the alarm when AI spat out: Kill humanity. It's impossible to exaggerate the threat AI poses. The Terminator is closer to reality than we can comprehend.
