@Patti2002-b5t Yeah... That's not how training algorithms work. That's the cutesy buzzword PR stuff the marketing team feeds you to make it sound like magic.
They don't just magically stop pulling from their database of training. The way it "learns" is by copying what it has been fed with a preset amount of variation and mutation. It then takes successful pictures and keeps those in its weighting. Depending on the algorithm, it will also randomly "forget" pieces to avoid being affected by things outside the normal.
In a broader sense, it is just copying and pasting a greatest hits of other works it has seen and smudging them a bit. People like to say human artists are also inspired by other works and trace elements all the time, but their transformative elements have intentionality. The AI is faking this by grapeshotting variation until it hits something, because it can do millions of variations a second. It never "learns" anything that's more aesthetically pleasing though. It just learns to hit the widest possible audience.
