@Morttozin because for the AI to work it needs a bank of drawings first. And that bank of drawings are, most likely, stollen from artists that didn't give their consent for their art to be used that way.
See Vocaloid for the opposite situation. A singer gets paid by the company to use their voice in a voice bank. All the people that use any of their programs (unless they've pirated it) can do so because the company and the singer allow it.
This doesn't happen with AI art.
