@shrimpdance4761I actually pretty much agree with all your points on learning. But i dont think it really changes what i'm saying. From a high level humans and ai are doing the same thing. Intaking a large amount of artistic content to produce additional artistic content that is different. Of course the systems of doing so differ because one is mechanical and the other is biological. I know the mechanics of how LLM's work.
Copyright exists because people didnt want exact copies of their work to be sold to other people. Literal copying. Ypu spend months and years on something, and it gets printed out and claimed to be their own.
Ai isnt copying. Its transforming. Whether style can be copyrighted is still not clear, but to the extent it is copyrightable even that would be on the people using the system and not the AI.
