Yes.
As an artist, I've never really cared about AI art, even though it is a very real issue for many others and I can acknowledge that. However, it is also true that people did not give a damn about AI potentially replacing other jobs, such as my brother's job, and the sudden 180 on AI was very telling.
Like, dude, I just like to draw. I get paid to draw sometimes, too. AI might take a client or two away from me, but it still won't ever actually rob the enjoyment I get out of putting pencil to paper.
But yeah, AI images ain't art, and people who use them are very rarely artists. It's just that most people also don't really care about "art" as a passion, and instead view it as a product to be consumed. When you realize this, it makes a lot more sense.
I say, let 'em.
