I can understand the premise behind needing to offload. I do a lot of rumination and as a result, I carry a ton of just baggage about the world in my head on a constant basis. So I definitely see the need for venting. I do think it's really important to understand why people who know how AI works are generally staunchly against the general public using it for things like this. Personally, I'm not sure I'd like the AI to be trained on my deeper/darker thoughts. Not even for privacy reasons, but because I don't want other people to be influenced by the types of mindsets that I'm not sharing for a good reason already. It's also really important to note that those responses you're getting are an influence in how you think and feel as well. To put it in very simple terms, it's like allowing your Google searches to influence you during your vulnerable moments. Because AI is not being regulated for this sort of task (especially since it's not made for these types of tasks in the first place), then it's up to us to regulate how we're being influenced/affected by it.
