@xdxdxd1.1 AI-generated images certainly are not important for progress. Like, really, give me an example of it being useful to humanity as a whole. Generally, I'm not fond of AI: It either can only pretend to be sentient (chinese room) or be sentient, which will probably end similairly to AM in I have no mouth and I must scream.
