@eduardopascual454 you are right, my opinion doesn’t matter. And im not a radiologist but my daughter is training to become one. What is clear is that at best the demand for radiologists will decrease as AI slowly takes over more and more reads. At first, it will be the golden age of radiology where the AI tools will augment productivity, lower burn out, and boost compensation. But it won’t be long until governments start cutting reimbursement accordingly, putting downward pressure on salary, followed by mass layoffs, keeping only skeleton crews to man the AI and intervene for edge cases. Radiology as a whole will survive, and some radiologists will get those overseeing gigs, but how many.
