Generative AI is nothing like a human brain or neural network. It's insulting to actual human minds to think these things are even remotely close. It can't think. It's just a tool. It can't learn. This is all marketing language you're falling for. It's better to think of AI as an image grafter that sloppily stitches non-consenting artists pieces together. AI was made with an older technology, which were image scraper bots that stole whatever they could from webpages and social media.
Is it as sexy and fun to call "Artificial Intelligence Art" a "generated image graft"? What about calling "AI art" something realistic and honest like "scraped generated art"? No. That's why they renamed it to sound more profoundly high tech than it could ever be.
