My understanding of prompt injection is particularly when AI is integrated into web browser. You end up going to a website and the website tells the AI to do something, without your knowledge most likely, and it generates what is necessary to do that.
Such as log into your e-mail and send a bunch of spam to everyone in your contact list. Without your intervention.
That's just one example but it's that kind of idea. Someone, unknown to the user, injects a prompt and the AI does it without the user knowing or approving.
