@kevalan1042, spot on. Economic power is far from independent of political power. In US, the campaign fund has passed $1 billion! These political "donations" from large corporations are used to buy favourable legislations. Americans do not have representation. Their votes have no real tangible effect. Covert Surveillance Capitalism are used to manipulate, control, brainwash and condition the population to drive political objectives and economic objectives. So, the political structure determines the economic structure. They are not independent.
Mega corporations like Google, FB, Amazon. Microsoft, mega banks, etc dictate how voters vote and react by using advanced techology, AI and big data surplus to manipulate predictive behavior. They even used it in Jury Consulting to select jury panels to return the desired verdict. That's why all companies found guilty paid the fines WITHOUT admission of wrongdoing. No jail punishment for criminal violations. They always get off scottfree. Not to mention unfair, misleading, abusive and fradulent business practices. Example, credit cards interest rates are regulated by usury laws. Today, it changed. Credit cards int rates are out of control, as high as 25 - 30% APR. Transfer bal @ zero percent offered for 12 months but they mail the offer 2 months after ( bal of 10 mos offer left). Then it takes about 60 days to post the transfer bal (bal of 8 mons left for zero int). When the offer states it end in Nov, it misleads the user. The zero rate actually ends Oct 31, NOT Nov! When the bal transfer check expires on, say 6/30, the credit card company can delay the posting after 6/30. That will be at a regular rate of 25%! Why? It can be abused when you use the check less than 60 days required to post the transaction. All the company has do is to delay the posting after 6/30 (expiration date) since you use the ck less than 60 days (takes 60 days to post). That's passive fraud perpetrated by cr card company. Lastly, they sent the statement after the zero int rate expired at the end of the term, causing the new rate @25% to be chged. Other examples include small print disclaimer, disclosure, "free" with asterisk, etc. And, huge penalty for late pymt. I specialized in business anti-fraud for over 20 yrs, have used data mining to identify frauds and abuses using predictive analytics, patterns, trends, and tendercies. They use Surveillance Capitalism to undermine your freedom and privacy in very subtle ways undetected.
