This seems like a decent overview on the common publicized argument on AI. I do have knowledge on the topic and I strongly disagree with the framing and implied nature of AI but Neal is doing a great job presenting the theory and some of the basic problems that the field is trying to solve. The main issue is that society has a certain idea on what AI is supposed to be, how it's supposed to work, what it's supposed to signify. The cultural expectation is very different from how AI works and what it does in reality. So, keep an open mind if you explore more deeply on the topic and by all means apply the scientific method to comprehending what's actually happening.
