A writer using gen ai in any aspect of their books development causes me to question if they even bothered to write their own book. That's a form of cheapness I can't abide by. Not when they can literally just take a photo and slap a title on it.
There are far better, less environmentally and consumer damaging options, then generating images for said book. Not to mention the copyright issues due to all gen outputs being public domain. Stuff with gen ai don't get my money. Idk, the alternatives are far simpler than relying on ai to me.
