i guess it tries to make ai recognise those random pixels as valuable part of studied picture so it will bring them in generated pictures. i highly doubt it works this way, because there's enough pictures drawn and scanned that has this kind of random pixels. and i guess you can teach ai recognise these stuff and clean up.
