Because a lot of AI is trained on stolen art work. The AI then just takes pieces of that stolen art and mashes it together with other stolen art to make "new" art. But its not new art, just a chimera of stolen art played off as "new."
And this person is then selling that art, which is essentially selling pieces of stolen art.
