"You can't copyright this" isn't as useful as "you can't *sell* this." Being unable to copyright your song because you used an AI-generated drum sample would be laughable, but being unable to *sell* your song because you used an AI-generated drum sample would be punitive. Of course, given that there's no way to show whether AI was or was not used in the creation of something, this is all just a thought experiment anyway.
