@MLBlue30 There is a difference between a character crafted by a human and an autocomplete. Not a very apt comparison. The difference to an imaginary friend for adults is that with imaginary friends we imagine both parts of the conversation. Everything is still you. Unfortunately many people seem to believe that whatever LLMs replie with is sentient, and people are already listening to life advice from it. Its an unfortunate consequence of a niche cutting-edge technology getting mass adoption.
