@oliverhardy9464 There is no "ripping of". If you share news you have read online, you are not "ripping of" the site where you read the news. Neural networks emulate how humans thinks and of course produces outputs of the back of it inputs, in the same way you consume content that shapes you.
With regards to free online databases, while many exist they do not envelop all the amount and type of content (data) needed for training large language models. Much data is needed which is to be varied, and good quality.
The reason people are up in arms of this is because of money. While much of the information is good, nobody, wether they are training AI or consuming it themselves, would in their right mind pay for the content. There is a reason must of use "free" services.
