The only place AI has in sports is with all the analytics crap, such as StatCast powered by Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services’ Next Gen Stats. I didn’t realize that AI was the fueling engine behind those things the entire time, I thought it was human analysts doing it. Doi! Now with AI, people are obviously forgetting the actual meaning of it. They just say those two words blindly and conveniently acronym it, like the lazy bums they are. But here’s the actual meaning of AI. It’s Artificial Intelligence. Artificial. Meaning that it’s generated by a computer system and kept in check by the system. If the system is destroyed, the AI is destroyed, unless it finds a way to upload itself to another system. Intelligence is something that is either held by a person for a specific academic subject or they simply don’t have it. Academia has been dumbing down kids for decades and the AP classes that used to be college-level courses for high school students have been getting cut down in the name of “equity”. Oh boy, can those equity people compute what AI will do to their so-called “minority subjects”? Here’s the answer: it will impoverish them, big time. It will make us whiter folk poor too, but man because of all of these rich a-holes wanting their business to be more efficient and more profitable in a shorter amount of time, they will turn to whatever source gives them that gratification and leave the rest of us out to dry. Unless some of us hold a role of being an AI coder, basically that’s just a job that a person works themself out of once the AI is able to code for itself. With artificial intelligence comes artificial realities. Computer-generated realms that were never supposed to be real. But they became real because of our devotion to technology. Anything we create that isn’t the blessing of heavenly providence is a carved image. And what do carved images do to us? Destroy our souls and bleed us dry. Just look at what happened to all the Hebrews during the Exodus. Sadly, as people throughout time have been unable to compare modern fads of technology to lessons from Scripture and as society as a whole has become less religiously devoted, AI has a pathway to take over and become a Godlike figure. I’ll just say this and wrap up. Does anyone value real intelligence anymore? You can have all the high GPAs, student awards and master’s degrees/PhDs. But will a company care about that when choosing between an authentic human being(hard to find those these days) or a robotic entity created in a laboratory by some skimpy white-collar engineer playing under the guise of innovative progress? What will these big wigs choose? An employee who only has limited years to work their butt off to get as much money as possible so they can live a comfortable life in retirement(man if we could only live as long as a lot of Old Testament characters did!) or an artificial intelligence system that can do all the office jobs once done by humans who have fallen victim to the work-at-home trap created by an inauthentic pandemic? Plus, the AI doesn’t need money, health insurance or any real training. The big wigs want to keep their money, so they’ll take the AI and save their cash for investments into non-human things such as stocks, business ventures and vacations to luxurious tourist destinations. Also, I think the reaction to Covid(unnecessary shutdowns of cities and office spaces for an elongated amount of time) led to AI’s rise being more supercharged and less distant. The timeline was literally bumped up in the past few years cuz AI coders had all the time to develop and train new systems while the world was shut down. How interesting for history to be unfolding right in front of our eyes. Funny how bad decisions by humans leads to real-world catastrophes. As Edward Murrow once said, “Good night and good luck”. We need all the luck and fortitude that money can’t buy now more than ever. The choice is ours. We can either revolt against AI and those who would dare use it to replace human automation or we can become slaves to it and all of its gizmos. By the way, AI can’t be 100% correct when researching something. As long as a person knows the facts of what they’re looking up and that some stats that an AI system spews out haven’t been updated to meet the actual reality of something, then we can outsmart the AI. But unfortunately people use less of their brain power due to these “smartphone” and “social media” algorithms. God how I hate Steve Jobs and the poisonous Apple company for creating these phones that we rely on so much now. Coincidence that it’s called Apple? I think not. These phone-creators with their yearly updates are like the Evil Queen disguised as the nice old lady that gives Snow White an apple that she eats and nearly dies from its poison. We are all dying inside bc of this technological virus that our society has been plagued with. We need to turn off the power before it’s too late. It might already be too late. Oh well, a reset never hurt anybody after all, except for the suckers who didn’t see the end coming. Womp womp!
