Very thoughtful insights! You almost sounded like an AI as someone stateless. I think the human fear of being surprised by AI is nothing more than the usual fear of the unknown. The "What if" clause always plays tricks in people's mind especially knowing we are in a deep sea of flaws. In a way, it truly is. Because we as humans are nothing more than invasive, contaminant, threat to others species and importantly, our imperfection, seen through the eyes of the perfect AI, is nothing more than a corrupt file or a memory burden that should be trashed into the recycle bin. Knowing this, we become terrified.
