AI is evil, but not because it's gonna become a super intelligence. It's evil and gonna kill us all explicitly because it is not and will *never* be. LLMs inherent design means it can never reach super intelligence. It takes what its given, mixes it up based on probabilities and spits it back out. Trying to create super intelligence out of this by using up nearly every resource on the planet in a desperate attempt to scale it up to something that it will never be is what'll kill us. The AI bubble popping the extreme economic fallout that'll bring is what's gonna kill us. Not that some LLM is gonna magically gain sentience and decide to go full terminator on us.
