+1 on switching to AI tech roles, but I think you're overestimating the ability of AI to build quality _systems_. Software engineering deals with so much more than getting the first version of code which sort of has the desired functionality. There's security, performance, maintainability and all has to be continuously tested at different levels to ensure correctness. Sure AI will aid and eat away at some of these, but before corporations can trust it to govern the whole process for critical systems... that'll take time.
