Machine learning takes single tasks, and improves at them. You can teach a machine to play Mario. The way y'all are talking about consciousness is like saying you could combine the AI that plays Mario with the AI that plays Sonic and suddenly this single use machine learning algorithm is going to start talking in perfect English to you?
