@unorthodoxpickle7014 That's not what I'm trying to argue. The AI isn't evil, the people who created it are evil. The AI itself has no sense of self, it is just a computer program doing what it was programmed to do which is behave in accordance with its deep learning model. As I said in my original comment this point of difference does not mean it isn't dangerous, but Professor Dave is making a fundamental mistake in his use of language when characterizing the model itself. He is assigning agency where there isn't any. If you believe it has agency then you must necessarily believe it is conscious, and it is not.
